I briefly mentioned Peru-Uruguay on Messi Situation.

Peru came back from behind to beat their opponents 2–1 in Lima. Jose Paulo Guerrero scored the equaliser and assisted Flores for the winner after Carlos Sanchez opened the scoring. Guerrero by the way, was the first player I ever scored with on FIFA, while he was at Hamburg.

Peru have now in the last year beaten Brazil and Uruguay and drawn to Argentina. All in competitive fixtures. There’s a good team in there. With games to come against Bolivia, Ecuador, Argentina (without Messi) and Colombia, there’s a chance the Peruvians could qualify automatically or nich a play-off place, but it would be unlikely.

Peru have over the years been blessed with attacking talent. In addition to Guerrero, they’ve had Jefferson Farfan, Nolberto Solano, Hugo Sotil, Juan Manuel Vargas and Claudio Pizzaro (top foreign goalscorer in the Bundesliga). A top class coach and a better organised back-line could easily take them far.

I briefly stopped at Westminster during a hectic day (due to deadlines) to lay flowers.

Some of my friends are getting rather stressed. I used to at exams and coursework but not so much anymore. Not since my GCSEs at least, were I had 27 exams in a few short weeks. One, I know I can get through intense periods. Two, I’ve learnt getting stressed won’t make it any easier and that it’s best not to let it get to me, so I don’t.

Which I could be like that with other aspects of my life.

Only two of us went to Westminster. It gave us a moment to take a break and also reflect on what happened last week. It was a sombre occasion but one I feel was worthwhile and I hope my friend agrees.

Donald Trump’s wall is being delayed due to financing by Republicans.

So far, Trump’s attempts to govern without an executive order have been a complete disaster. (No, Spicer and Conway, these aren’t alternative facts). His party controls all three houses! The Senate, the Congress and the House of Representatives. This should be the easiest Presidency of all time and he’s still finding it very difficult. This has to be a major concern for the American public, can anything actually get done with The Donald as POTUS?
