The US Senate voted 52–47 to make it legal for people to shoot hibernating bears.

Now, this definitely is something to protest about. Hunting and shooting is barbaric enough as it is. There’s no justification for it. I have to remove a libelous comment here.

What is even more barbaric, is that it is for hibernating bears. Bears who cannot defend themselves as they’re asleep, this is cowardly. Attacking those who cannot defend themselves is bullying. I’d like to see those who want to shoot hibernating bears, take on the animals 1v1 in a bare knuckle fight to the death. They wouldn’t because they’re cowards.

London today has an increased police presence. Me and my friend went up to two officers to thank them for their service, it is clear that the actions of the police and emergency services saved lives and every person involved in the response should feel proud of themselves.

Channel 4 meanwhile erroneously reported the name of the attacker, claiming it was a man currently in prison. The news was cut form broadcast on +1. The timing is awkward due to the organisation running a series on fake news. People need to be careful in the aftermath of not reporting fake facts.

Report what you can confirm, do not tell people what you can’t or tell them you can’t. It will avoid unnecessary panic. False news could also divide our society, which is what the terrorists want, they want divisions that they can exploit further. Don’t give in.
