Après Mûre Réflexion, Un pur esprit and Millennium Mambo.

I saw these two shorts and a film tonight.

I will discuss the film in a more detailed review. I think I’ll only continue to use Medium for musings and my other work will be elsewhere, as it can get very clunky. I didn’t understand the shorts.

The first involved a father spending 14 minutes, telling his adult children, he was leaving their mother. The second was three minutes of a French teenage girl in a park then in her room, in black and white with no dialogue. I don’t know what I’m supposed to have gained from those 17 minutes, complete waste. Nothing learnt at all. Didn’t even find it funny in a juvenile, trivial way. Could’ve spent the time doing better things.

I’d also like to announce (SHAMELESS PLUG) my new West Ham United blog. Never Fade Never Die. Not much posted yet but hopefully over the coming weeks that changes. I talk about West Ham fairly often but I always want to do it in more detail, so it makes sense starting a new blog. A good friend will be helping me out, so check it out soon.

Two things to end on because I cannot ignore either.

My heart goes out to the people of Peru, who have suffered from floods, people have lost their homes and lives. Special shootout to a special friend in Lima who is helping by donating water and essentials. One thing I have learnt, the Peruvian people have a strong spirit and they will recover this.

Rest In Peace, Chuck Berry, a true pioneer in rock music who played a strong role in ending segregation. Johnny B. Goode is one of the all time great guitar songs. Route 66 gives me nostalgia due to its’ use in Cars.

Have a nice week, everyone. No matter what you’re doing. ❤
