Theresa May has called for a snap general election.

The date will be 8th June.

She needs the support of the two-thirds of The House of Commons for this to go through.

May has been clever here. Labour are approaching new levels of chaos. This is way before Brexit negotiations are concluded. She may not be in a stronger position ever again. Her Government will increase in security.

I can see Corbyn breaking Foot’s record and Labour getting less than 200 seats. A Lib Dem majority is more likely.

An Argentinian football fan has died after a fifteen foot fall at a match between rivals Belgrano and Talleres.

Emanuel Balbo, a Belgrano fan was attacked by the crowd after spotting a man he blamed for the death of his brother. This man accused him of being a Talleres supporter so the crowd attacked him.

This is so tragic. It’s always a risk being in the opposition end but Balbo was amongst his own supporters.

Argentina has had problems with violence.

It shows how people react differently when in a crowd to when out on their own. I’m sure if a Belgrano fan saw what they thought was a Talleres fan on the street, the vast majority wouldn’t attack.

But herd mentality does things to people.

Facebook have to rethink how Facebook Live works after a murder was posted.

I’m not sure how it is possible to monitor live content. You can’t.

As a journalist, live content is sometimes hard to produce as in certain situations, you have no control over what is being filmed.

Certainly, the hosting platform never has it. I can’t think of a way to stop this stuff being filmed. If it is, then naturally it will be reported and deleted within a few minutes. That’s the best way I can think of dealing with such a medium. Can you think of any better?

I suppose you might need certain permissions to use Live but how do you decide who gets it?
